May 2, 2022 - Jean-Paul FORCEVILLE welcomes Idrissa Kané, Director General of the Niger Post, to the headquarters of La Poste Groupe.
Jean-Paul Forceville and Idrissa Kané discussed the development of the postal sector in Africa and the cooperation actions to be carried out bilaterally. A working meeting then identified several avenues: postal cost accounting and universal service, development of e-commerce, sharing of experiences and best practices in training and human resources.
The two Posts agreed to strengthen their institutional cooperation at the bilateral level as well as at the level of the UPU and restricted unions (PAPU, WAPCO).
Jean-Paul said: "In a period marked by the development of digital and e-commerce, but also by the decrease in mail flows, we are all facing multiple challenges to reinvent our business models. Solidarity and cooperation between Posts are more essential than ever to support their development."
