The Postal Union for the Mediterranean (UPMed) met in Larnaca (Cyprus) on 14 and 15 November 2019. In accordance with its statutes, it has renewed its board: Turkey becomes president and succeeds Lebanon, which remains vice-president. France was re-elected. In addition, the 50 delegates and observers benefited from an innovation workshop, focusing on the acquisition of tools and know-how to detect relevant innovations. Finally, a ceremony was organized for the announcement of the results of the 1st philatelic competition organized by PUMed around the theme "The costumes of the Mediterranean" and the presentation of trophies. The stamp proposed by La Poste, illustrating the costume of the Arlesian, was the winner of this contest.
